These are popular at festivals as they can be discreetly used in crowd. Snuff bullets like this are mechanical dispensers that hold your snuff or other powders; until you’re ready to use them. The bullet is a contraption that allows you to access what’s inside without opening up the container. A dial on the side can be turned up to capture some gear on the bucket inside, then some clever rotation of the bullet to the side to store it, and the dial towards you. The most common question I am asked is “but how do you use it?”. It’s slightly tricky to get right at first. So the powder or snuff goes inside the bullet that much is obvious. To ‘load’ the bullet the bullet has to be upside down so it falls into the scoop inside. The Dial on the side of the bullet must be pointing up towards you (down from the bullet). Then turn the dial to the side (important point). This captures the stuff so it’s separated. Then turn the bullet up to you (ready to use it). Then turn the dial ‘up’ to you. The stuff inside is now pointing upwards in the nozzle and you can sniff. Its easy to confuse yourself and get lost so try it a few times while empty.

Shiva are currently supplying a small number of spice mills on their website. These are larger real snuff tobacco grinders but they can be used for powders too. This is a three piece set but does not include the bottle so you need to buy those separately. This is an effective and old school style grinder, but a step above the flat grinders you may see smokers use. These are more of a ‘mill’ than a grinder which means they can be used for powders. I haven’t tried one of these but I think they work well enough and are a cheaper alternative to some of the high end newer versions.

Snuff Accessories UK you can find lots of great snuff accessories in the uk if you know where to look. It used to be very easy to source snuff items on sites such as amazon and ebay. However in recent times these platforms have become more strict on what can be sold and now label snuff kits as restricted items. Ebay was the first to really crack down in early 2022. This was right after covid was finished (it seemed to me during covid these things were heavily overlooked). Amazon finally pulled the plug on snuff accessories in the summer of 2025.
