Snuff Kits Guide

The increase in the use of snuff and other powders has fuelled the demand for snuff kits, snuff bottles, and other accessories. Such is the wide ranging use of snuff in all income and social levels that different classes of snuff kits have become available. Some snuff kits are made with top quality materials made by skilled craftsmen and can cost hundreds if not thousands of pounds. At the other end of the scale it’s possible to buy cheaper snuff kits made in China for just a few pounds.

A higher end snuff kit might be made from a polished silver or mirror like stainless steel. Usually a neat little metal box like a 1980’s business card holder perhaps with engraved initials. Diamond encrusted snuff spoons and bottles are also available for those who like to take thier snuff with style. High quality materials made of precious metals make a snuff kit a stylish accessory.

Snuff Kit Tools

A typical snuff kit will include a mirror surface for setting out your snuff. A cutter or razor blade of some kind to chop or dice your snuff sufficiently. It can then be prepared it into a single shape (such as a line) and then snorted. The remaining two items of a typical snuff kit are; a spoon (or spatula) and a snorting tube like implement. Snuff spoons come in all sizes but are usually smaller in kits and only measure out a small dose. Often several spoons worth of snuff will be needed for a single snort. The snorting tube is usually made of metal but recently new glass inhalers have started to appear. A snorting tube made of carbon fibre has a more luxurious feel. Carbon fibre is stronger than steel and is easy to keep clean.
